Real Life Big Love

I've been watching Season 1 of Big Love on Netflix the past few days and I distinctly recall thinking "does this really still happen?" I mean I know about Warren Jeffs I guess but the whole deal with Roman and his control over his entire compound--it's insane. Do we really still allow this stuff to exist?

Talk about instant gratification--today I got my answer!

Apparently more than 200 women and children have been removed/rescued from a polygamist compound in Texas as of this weekend:

Polygamy basically baffles me and reading about all this does nothing to help me figure it all out. Maybe I'll get it by the end of Season 2.
